(from M.Christian's Classes And Appearances)

This is going to be a blast - hope to see you there!

Safety, safety, safety, safety ... kinksters hear that often enough but the fact is we can't hear too much about it: what we love to do has serious, sometimes life-threatening risks, and it is essential that anyone playing with BDSM toys and techniques learn all they can – constantly – about not just how to play safely but what to do when things to wrong.

In this informative and entertaining class, scene veterans Jean Marie Stine and M.Christian discuss basic BDSM safety, what should be in your emergency kit, basic human anatomy, chancy play techniques, STCs and other biological risks, how to try to expect the unexpected ... and more!

Thursday, November 19th
Class from 8-10pm, doors open at 7:30pm
Cost: $20 at the door, or $15 in advance

Jean Marie Stine describes herself as Maggie Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West. By day she wields a mean whip as the Editrix of Sizzler Editions, which publishes all types of BDSM fiction and other erotica. She has written and ghosted numerous books and stories, some mainstream, some highly kinky and perverse. She is a serious soul eating dom, seeking gender queers of all types with submissive natures, bodies she can play with, and orifaces she can get my hand in. Her interests include Aunt/Mistress boy/girl niece/nephew play, hot and cold, cutting, whipping, the occasional group topping of some helpless bottom, and much more.

M.Christian has been an active participant in the San Francisco BDSM scene since 1988, and has been a featured presenter at the Northwest Leather Celebration, smOdyssey, the Center For Sex and Culture, The National Sexuality Symposium, San Francisco Sex Information, The Citadel, The Looking Glass, The Society of Janus, The Floating World, Winter Solstice, and lots of other venues. This Monday: Polyamory Discussion/Support Group at SF Citadel!

(from M.Christian's Classes And Appearances)

Just a reminder that the fun Polyamory Discussion/Support Group I help facilitate is coming up this Monday, October 26, at the SF Citadel:

Polyamory Discussion/Support Group

SF Citadel
181 Eddy Street,
San Francisco, CA

Polyamory is – not to state the obvious – complex. But what is even more challenging is that it is still not wildly accepted, with those in non-monogamous relationships often finding it difficult to find understanding and support. In this discussion/support group, polyamorous individuals and couples will have a nonjudgmental and supportive environment to share their concerns and experiences.

All Discussion/Support Groups are from 7:30PM to 9:30PM and cost $10

But creating a digital 'self' is only part of it: participants will also get tips on how to reach out in imaginative ways that will get a positive response, the important things that are too often forgotten and other social niceties that can be the difference between frustration and disappointment and having a wonderful and sexy time online!

Sure, you've heard of it - and maybe have been intrigued by it - but what is polyamory and how do you love more than one person and make it work? How can you deal with jealousy, time-management, emotional rough patches, and more to enter into multiple sexual relationships? In this class, participants will learn to separate the myths from the realities of polyamory, how to make tentative steps towards having more than one partner, and how to approach and deal with the problems of sharing yourself with others, and being involved with someone who, in turn, is involved with someone else. Included in this class will be simple emotional exercises, true life experiences, unique techniques and innovative approaches to understanding the joys - and the risks - of beginning, or entering into, a polyamorous relationship.

Up Now At FutureOfSex: Part One of The Ten Greatest Sexual Innovations to Come!

(from M.Christian's Technorotica)

Alas, badoink is gone - fun while it lasted - but the great news is that I'm now writing for the fabulous FutureOf Sex ... and my very first piece, part one of a series called The Ten Greatest Sexual Innovations to Come is live!

Just click here and read The Future of Sexual Sensing: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Neurostimulation!

As the old saying goes: the only constant is change—and the last few years have certainly seen a lot of it. So many changes, in fact, that it’s hard to think of any aspect of human society that hasn’t been touched by technological innovation over the last decade or so.

Books became ebooks, the Internet went from novelty to essential, electric and hybrid vehicles have become ubiquitous, gay marriage changed from “don’t talk about it” to “no big deal” (at least in some countries), and 3D printers left the prototype stage to become at-home appliances—just to hit some highlights.

But the greatest changes are right around the corner. Many of these innovations will occur in one of our favorite areas: sex.

Part one of our three-part tour into future sex developments is this speculation on sensory tech: how our seeing—and feeling—will be more than believing. These incredible sensory advances will be introduced to us via three innovative technologies.
Innovation One: Virtual Reality

Despite some initial clumsy attempts, virtual reality promises to become a societal game changer. Like many huge innovations, the basic idea of virtual reality is essentially simple: an artificial world accessed by miniature monitors over the eyes. These, coupled with motion sensors, means when you turn your head, the view through those monitors changes as well.

Where the game changing comes in is two pronged. The first is that VR promises a level of total immersion that we have never experienced before. With a VR headset—like the popular Oculus Rift—you’ll feel like you’re actually in whatever artificial world you’re visiting. Right now all we’re missing to complete this total immersion is haptics—touch technology, but that’s right around the corner.

The other prong is part of what drove the ebook revolution in publishing: privacy. With a VR set, no one will know where you are but you.

With VR you can visit—or create—any erotic world of your choosing in privacy. There is, literally, nothing you could not see nor do in a synthetic reality. As the tech gets better and better, soon the line between “real” reality and a virtual experience will get thinner and thinner.

Gazing into my—albeit cracked—crystal ball, it’s not too difficult to envision a few years from now. With VR we’ll not just be able to see films, but be parts of them. Interactivity will mean that entertainment, erotic or otherwise, will be multi-dimensional and totally immersive.

There are many ways to reach your inner sexual and spiritual self––but one of the most surprisingly powerful paths is through the written word. In this lecture/workshop, participants will hear how erotic writing (fiction as well non-fiction) can reach hidden places that often lay unexposed, help make personal discoveries and to assist in a personal journey of self and sensuality. Participants will learn how to free their erotic writing voices, how to develop their writing towards discovering the erotic spirits within, and when to silence––and when to listen to––the inner critic.

The cane is one of those 'legendary' BDSM toys that is far too often used with dramatic flare – rather than erotic effectiveness. In this very special class, cane wielders will learn the difference between using a rod as a prop and, instead, how to use various types of cane (wood versus plastic, thin versus thick, etc) to send the receiver to new erotic heights. With this unique – and sensual - technique even those scared of the rod will be enticed to being on the receiving end of the not-so-scary cane.

Using Social Media To Grow Your Adult Business And Build Your Client Base - The Working Smarter And Not Harder Way! With Jean Marie Stine and M.Christian

(from M.Christian's Classes And Appearances)

This is going to be a blast - and essential if you have any kind of adult business:

Let's face facts: the adult business world has totally, completely changed marketing and advertising tricks that used to work simply don't anymore ... which is why, more than ever, thinking outside the box is key to raising above the rest and, best of all, bring in exposure and, hopefully, sales.

Twitter? Tumblr? Facebook? While there are a lot of options, many of the techniques that a lot of gurus and experts recommend only work for those same experts and gurus ... and not for anyone else.

But in this fun and provocative lecture you'll learn to learn the differences between what other people say you should do and what actually works including when to play by the rules and when not to, how to rise above the rest, and how to manage your marketing time and dollars.

Among some of the subjects covered will be:
- How to blog, tweet and post effectively and efficiently
- How to handle fast media like Twitter versus slower ones like Facebook
- When national social media is what you want and when it's something you don't need
- The power of FREE
- Knowing your audience ... and developing great techniques to reach them
- Understanding the difference between likes, friends and actual sales
- How to make your social media presence rich and interesting without taking valuable time away from your company
- How to think innovatively about advertising, public relations, and marketing that don't involve social media or even the internet

THE SEX FILES: West Coast Calling By R.Greco

(from Short And Sweet NYC)

THE SEX FILES:
West Coast Calling
By Ralph Greco

Once again I had the privilege of getting my sick-of-the-snow butt out to warmer climes, notably Las Vegas and San Francisco, on some personal professional business that, of course, had to do with sex. So here is my report of what I saw and did that dove tails perfectly with my usual reporting here at The Sex Files.
To be sure, setting down in Las Vegas on Friday Feb. 27th in 60 + degree weather at McCarran airport was a joy. I dropped my bags at the Riviera Hotel (the very place they used as the casino location in the film Casinoand which will be taken down come this May) and headed over to the Erotic Heritage Museum not a mere stone’s throw behind Trump’s towering artifice for a personal tour from the EHM’s director Dr. Victoria Hartmann, PH.D.
I will be doing a complete and separate piece on Dr. Hartmann and the EHM in the near future, but for here and now let me just declare that place, as well as the director, were a delight. Dr. Hartmann is a passionate non-stuffy academic with a wild twinkle in her eye, the very embodiment of the ‘sex positive’ scholar/teacher/business lady so proud of the expansive museum with its countless super cool, often very historical exhibits and one-of-a-kind pieces (the picture included above is of their penis made of pennies.) It was a thrill to be escorted through the two floors of sculpture, fine art exhibits (one of which, “Vintage Vibrators/Babeland Collection” by two New York-based artists, Constance & Eric I will also expound on in a later column) toys, video displays and so much more with such a genial and informed host. I cannot recommend the Erotic Heritage Museum enough.
Find info for it here: www.EroticMuseumVegas.com.
Again, more on this wonderful place, and the equally wonderful Dr. Hartmann, in the near future.
The next day saw my partner-in-perversity, author extraordinaire M. Christian and I present three daytime classes at the “Sin In The City” convention (which I reported on here). To see kinky convention revelers waking-up for our first class at 9am was a surprise, but Chris and I soon learned the participatory nature of what we were presenting, with the audience as much giving as taking, which truly energized us to a level we couldn’t have ever expected.
I couldn’t get enough of the people of Sin In The City, staff and attendees both. Time and again I have found (and certainly in spades at this convention) the nicest people attend kink conventions.
Sunday I jetted off to San Francisco for even more ridiculous weather (by the end of the week the thermometer was hovering around 73-74 degrees with completely blue skies!) and a meet-and-greet with Chris at the infamous Wicked Grounds coffee shop then for us to give a class at one of San Francisco’s most notorious play spaces The Citadel, then another class as the Center For Sex and Culture, then a reading there with a slew of other authors on Saturday night…the first time I have ever given a reading actually.
The trip couldn’t have gone any better, really. Again, I will get into details in the next month or so, but for now I wanted to tell you where I was this past week, out from under the snow and show you, that as always, even when I am not writing this column, I am working for us all blazing ever onward for sex.

Wicked Grounds is San Francisco's first and only kink cafe and boutique. We have a full cafe in San Francisco and host a wide variety of BDSM and related events, including workshops, classes, social gatherings, and munches.

Here's an opportunity to meet and greet Ralph Greco Jr. and M.Christian: two kick-ass smut writers and BDSM/sex educators who know how to have a good time ... either on the page or in the bedroom/dungeon!

In town as part of a whirlwind tour of kinky teaching and sexy authoring, Chris and Ralph (to their friends) will be available to chat about being an editor for Von Gutenberg Latex Couture Fashion Magazine (Ralph) and Renaissance E Books/Sizzler Editions (Chris) and their BDSM classes (such as Sensual Caning, Basic Bondage, Cupping, Breast Torture, and more) and their renowned erotica writing class series!

Come chat BDSM classes, get some books signed, and have a fun time with two fun guys...
