I have begun what will turn out to be a bi-weekly column at Sexpert.com.
These writer's-advice, marketplace-roundups, how-to's-and-what-maybe-to-try (and not) installments are for the smut writer...but I feel any writer, probably anybody trying their hand at anything, could benefit from the trials and tribulations I give forthwith, on, over and under. Chris and I have been lucky to have presented our Writing Dirty Words classes at a handful of kink conventions where we have taught (between you and me, this is the class we love to teach the most...although there's nothing wrong with fitting clothespins on a bouncy big pair of breasts in a Tit Torture class) and this new column follows with lots of what I have said before about the writing life. There's no secrets, no magic spell to be learned, and certainly no shortcuts to scribbling your latest fantasy or some epic three-novel bodice-ripper. It's just the writing life, warts and all, and I give it you, from my perspective. Domina Doll, who is pretty much a doll, let me into her confidence, this website she runs and her faith that I would produce something of value to her readers. I am humbled by this as Sexpert.com is a site full of good, solid stuff, well-researched and always so sex-positive. To be among the company of folks posting on this site certainly prompts me to bring my 'A-game,' which is just like I like it (I always enjoy some prompting to my' A-game'...just remember to use the lube!) I would never assume I know what you are up against in your daily writing grind, if indeed it is a grind for you, what you are coming up against and what, if any at all, advice you need from me. With this column I just relate the truths I come to see, from my unique perspective (no more or less unique than yours). But being a pro writer in this naughty word field I think I might just have a few tasty bon mots to offer, so maybe you'd enjoy a quick little mouse slip, finger furl, click on over to see what I am on about every two weeks. I'd love to have you, and, as always, hear from you as well, at the Sexpert site or here, anytime, on any subject, not just on writing. Until then though, keep scribbling. See ya in the funny papers.
